Hey Guys,

I am looking for the better between the two for my medicals.
I see only these options for Bangalore , strangely Fortis doesnt seem to be there.
Can anyone confirm this?

Also , which is the better one to go for medicals?
Anyone has recent experience?

thanks.

I read some reviews and decided to go with Fortis. I don't have any previous experience with them. I booked my appointment with Fortis opp to IMM, Bangalore today for August 01. 2015.

When are you planning to get your medicals done?

Cheers,
Jai

Hello BB- I asked them for August 1 coz it was convenient for me. I am sure there are dates available even before that.

I called them and booked a slot. That's all.

Details over phone:
1. 3- 4 hours max for the entire process
2. 3 - 5 days for them to upload results
3. Bring any medical history documents
4. Bring PP
5. Bring PP size photograph for each person in white background
6. HAP[?] the letter that my agent sent me
7. Bring spectacles along if you are wearing one

INR 1400 for my Child
INR 4200 for Me
INR 4200 for my Wife

I hope this information helps!

Cheers,
Jai

So detailed and precise...Did they mention Form 26 and 160?From what i have read , its better if you fill it and take a copy with you.

I am actually looking to book as early and get over with this.
Have some personal work pending..Will give them a call today or tomorrow and book a slot.
Thanks for the information and all the best to you!!!

You are welcome BB! Nope. She did not mention about FORM 26 and 160. Let me search for the same and take it along.

Since I am not from Bangalore and going there specifically for this purpose, I better do some home work.

Good Luck to you too!

Cheers,
Jai

For the benefit of other members, I am writing my experience with Fortis, Bannerghetta Road, Bangalore. Wife, myself and our lil one were there on Saturday [1 Aug 2015].

9:00a - Presented Forms
9:15a - 12:00p - Waiting for XRay
12:00p - 12:30p - Doctor consultation, Blood & Urine samples done.
we were out by 1:00p or so. 3 hours wait for Xray was extremely horrific for our little one as she became cranky missing her morning sleep.

Overall- Okay experience. They told me that it would take about 1 week to upload everything. I shall post here if there are any issues.

Cheers,
Jai

We got our Medicals done at Elbit and found it to be good, though I am not aware of Fortis. Elbit is a bit crowded place, else it's good. It took us almost 3 hours for 3 of us though at the end the doctor asked us to bring specialist's report for our child. They are hawk eyed throughout the test and look at us as if we have committed some crime :)

Hey Buddy,
I was wondering why you needed the specialist report? We did our medicals in Fortis and they did not ask for any specialist report for My kid. The doctor Just examined her.

BTW Congrats on your grant :D

For the benefit of others & continuity I am posting this:

On Aug 6th [Thursday] I called FORTIS to check on the Status. They confirmed that everything was uploaded on Aug 5th [Wednesday]. Later my agent also confirmed the same.

So our experience with Fortis was alright except for the wait on a Saturday.

Cheers,
Jai

Hi
Is it mandatory to get medicals for all the applicants together?
Me and my partner are applying as de-facto couples from India. Going together for medicals would raise unnecessary eyebrows in our case ( same sex couples) and create a very unpleasant situation.
Do we have the option to go separately? Will the hospital raise questions if medical report for same HAP ID are being uploaded separately?

You may need to check with the hospital if primary n secondary applicant can come on different dates...
No one cares there anyways VP....

No, they won't ask you. Primary applicants and dependants can get the medical done on different dates. Uploading on different dates is not an issue at all.
