Hi Guys,
I have already received my invite for 489 family sponsored. But my invite for 190 is still pending with state and might get delayed by more than two months due to some special documents asked by state. What should I do in this situation?

IS IT WORTHY TO WAIT FOR TWO MONTHS TO GET A 190 INVITE INSTEAD OF ALREADY RECEIVED 489?

Are you certain that you will receive 190 ? Cos as far as I know 190 is at the discretion of the state and not guaranteed or anything.

On the other hand you already have 489 invite which is guaranteed. It's your call. I would have taken the certainty (489) over uncertainty (190).

If you want to wait 2 months to see if you will get 190, you can try.

I am very confident that I will surely receive 190 invite as my occupation is rare and moreover, supplementary conditions are applicable on my occupation. Hence , I am at first place in EOI queue with no competitors against me to claim invite.

Still what yours call if 190 will be certain after two months?

If you don't mind me asking, what is your occupation?

I have analysed this data from EOI rounds and Immitracker. From last two rounds only 8 invitations have been allocated out of 1996.
and Moreover, in SA it has high point conditions i.e. 85 or family sponsorship required.

Yes, you are right it is rare with your occupation and hence a very good chance. If you think you can submit an EOI in future and get 489 again during the invitation round since 189 and 489 happens guaranteed every 14 days - except I don't know if you can get 489 nomination or such again if you don't accept it (for 189 you can)- I don't know the process.

If you can get 489 invite again, wait for 190. If not, it's your call. I have also seen lots of rare occupation not getting nominated, so consider that too.

Hi Karan,

trust me its worth all the wait for subclass 190. I have been living in Australia from last 2 years and i myself saw people on 489 struggling to get a job only due to the reason that they are on 489 and they aren't a permanent residents.

I am not saying that 489'ers doesn't get a job they do get a job but possibilities are less as compared to PR holders.

Can I able to submit a 489 family sponsorship now even my 489 family will expire on 20th August. By this means I am able extend my 489 invite expiration time being on safe side.

I don't know how 489 works but if it works like 189, then I think you can get another invite. Better ask on the 489 board.
