Hello fellow forum members,
My UK husband and I are planning to move to the States end of Feb/beginning of March next year. The USCIS website says to apply for the I-130 at least 10 months prior to making the move. We are now at 9.5 months until March 1... Is this still enough time? To apply now and to fly by March 1?

The timelines for issuing of visa is only a guideline.

Most forums say that the whole process from the I-130 to issuing of visa (except for Direct Consular Filing) is around 8 to 10 months (some say up to 12).

So if you are looking to move early next year, then send off your application now.

So, for DCF, how many months? We will be applying through DCF London.

Usually quoted as 4 to 6 months ...... note the word 'usually' - again, only a guideline.

4-6 months is the current DCF timeline - I sent off my application yesterday.
