Hi guys,

For SC189 and SC190, is everyone required to do X-ray? Or are there any instances where X-ray is not required?

Thanks,

Hello..for Australia, the list of medical tests required is intimated by DIBP as one of the reverts to your application. Typically children below 15 are not required to do X ray.

Sorry I was a little unclear, does this mean that 100% of applications are asked to conduct a medical or are applicants called to do medical at DIBP's discretion? Say one application is asked and another one is not.

Every applicant for a permanent visa, whether they are the primary or secondary applicant, must undergo a medical examination. Children under 11 do not have to undergo an x-ray but all children as well as adults will be subject to an examination.

All details regarding medicals are on the DIBP website. https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Heal/meeting-the-health-requirement/health-examinations
