You may want to take a look at the dermatologist listings in Doctolib, or a similar medical scheduling site online. Although on a quick look, most of the dermatolgues do not seem to make appointment online, they do still have a file on the doctors which includes what languages they use in their practices.

I called several in Limoges and none were accepting new patients, so you may have better luck if you follow CaptainMorgan's advice as a referral from your MT will likely get a more positive result than cold calling or emailing.

Good luck.

Dermatologists seem to be in particularly short supply lately. What you probably need to do is, as suggested by CaptainMorgan and LoriEleanor is to schedule an appointment with your medecin traitant (no matter what their specialty is) to check out your concern and to get a referral. If your medecin traitant can't suggest a specific dermatologue in the area, you may want to speak to your pharmacist to see if they know of anyone in the area who will take on a new patient. Otherwise, you may just have to call around and/or make do with whatever options your medecin traitant can offer.

The Ameli site does have an "annuaire" listing of all doctors by specialty and by location that you can use to try to find someone taking new patients. Only caveat is that the Ameli listing tends to be slow on updating for retirements and other changes in status of the doctors listed.

You can make an appointment directly with a specialist (if you can find one taking on new patients) the only problem is that you will only get 70% of the fees refunded. And around Limoges, even with a referral, dermatologist appointments are hard to obtain.
You might try contacting the hospital at St Léonard de Noblat (about 20 km east of Limoges). My neighbour was treated there recently.
Good luck.

I have a dermato in Limoges and have been unsuccessfully trying to phone all morning for a rendezvous for my annual checkup.
Today is the opening day for appointments/rdv for April 2026 and the phone lines are all blocked.
If ever I succeed in getting through to the secretaries, I'll ask if they know of any English speaking dermatologists

How I found a dermato ? First, I went to see a doctor and ask for a letter describing my issue (lettre d'accompagnement). Then I went to a local hospital to the appointment section. The woamn at the desk gave me a way to get an appointement with a dermato within 2 months. In France, when you want to solve something, you must ask real people in real life, not only doctolib or the internet ;-)

I finally reached my dermato's secretariat for a rendez-vous. When i asked if she knew of any dermatos around Limoges who spoke English she said she couldn't help me with that. "But doesn't he speak any French at all?" The best thing to do in her opinion would be to come accompanied by someone capable of translating.
