I have recently become unemployed in France and wondered how my teachers pension would affect my claim for unemployment benefit?

I'd just go down to the local Pole d'emploi office and file your claim. If you worked long enough and were paying into the system here in France, I think that's all it takes. I assume your teachers pension is from the UK - but they'll be able to tell you whether that affects your chomage or not.

I have already done this and they want to know if it is an OAP or just counts as a Prime???ie is it like a private pension or an official one.... many thanks for your help.
