Hi expat members,

I was browsing through the forum and found out about the flagged occupation lists and that a new SOL is about to come in midst of 2012, possibly in July 1.

My occupation-Electronics Engineer is also on the list. Currently, I am applying for WA SS and then hopefully apply for 475 temporary visa ( 3 years) before July 1.

I want to know since my occupation is in flagged list, it is very much possible that it will be removed from new SOL 2012. My process will already be started. In this case, what are the possible outcomes for me ? Can you please share me your thoughts ?

I just got my letter of assessment from EA today and now I see my list in flagged. So the fear has started to rise.

you can not do much, can you, they wont stop the change, you can not change your profession.. just go with it, pray that your application goes in before the changes come in and you get the visa on time

That means even if i apply for my 475 visa to DIAC before July 1 which I am hopeful of doing, (processing has already started), after the new SOL list comes, they will not process my application further ??

Please help me understand.

it depends, at times they do, at times they dont. as i said you can not really do much, jsut try and look for alternatives as well.. like we did
