Imminent power cuts in Spain?

Or perhaps another massive one!

I've done a quick & dirty translation of the first paragraph

Red Eléctrica has conveyed its concern to the National Markets and Competition Commission regarding the imminent risk of another widespread blackout in the country. In recent weeks, the company has detected abnormal voltage variations in the grid that could compromise the stability of the entire electricity system. According to the operator, these fluctuations do not yet constitute a technical emergency, but if they are not corrected immediately, they could lead to forced disconnections of generation and consumption, affecting the supply of millions of citizens in a matter of minutes.

I'd say they've got a better chance than they've ever had. Not sure they'd get in now on their own in a snap election though.

PSOE won't hold power in the next general though, so expect Vox to be part of the "other side".

TBH my comment wasn't meant as serious political observation anyway...

I don't follow Apanish politics at all and it just sort of worried me that that shower of nutters had a chance of getting to run the country. My menu del dia will go down a lot better now, which I think is one of the best things about Spain.

I too doubt that PSOE will win the next election. I also suspect that PP will need other parties in order to have enough seats to govern.

It happened in my town in the last locals, & PP made a pact with Vox, even though they had said they wouldn't.

From what I've seen, Spain has it's share of right leaning people, and left leaning people. And maybe some people in the middle. That is not too different from the UK or US, although one could scrutinize how far left and how far right.
I suspect that, just like elsewhere, left leaning people will claim "lunatics running the asylum"when the right is ascending or in power, and right leaning people will claim the same when the left is in.
There's some reasons for that, and I find those reasons interesting although knowing them does not change the outcome.
