It's been just 3 days since I came here....
I am staying in Hawthorn East right now. It's luvly suburb. And it is very safe here.
I have started looking for a job...!!
Wanted to know if you have got a hot skill/Specialised skill, then how much time it can generally take.
Btw, I am looking for a job in IT specializing in BI/DW.

Let me know if anyone got better idea to get a job?
I am approaching consultants and keep checking seek.com.

Hi,
Congrats and happy stay in Melbourne.
Nice to read your comments and that you are enjoying.
Yes I have seen BI/DW a hot area in Melbourne and lot of jobs on seek. Mainly SAP Business objects is also good.
The thing you need to do is a lot of networking who are in that field. Try linkedin. I have seen jobs through linkedin and join few of Australia IT networks in Linkedin. Accenture Australia do have lot of jobs.
When you are with your CV, you need to highlight the international clients you worked with. And you need to say that you have lot of interactions with the international clients, so they can understand that you have good english and are able to communicate here also.
The main thing they see with Indians are English communication and sometimes presentation skills. Technically however is not tough when you have experience.
One recruiter advised me to be slow and clear while communicating in the interview.
If you go to the recruiters they will show you a lot of tips and even resume preparation according to AUS style.
