Welcome! I don't think I'm very close to you as I have no idea where Valros is, but just wanted to say hello to a fellow Californian (I'm from OC). After you get your papers you can probably get an English teaching job. They are always looking for teachers, and some jobs can be done over the phone so you can be anywhere.
I didn't even have a French evaluation. The guy literally just spoke to me for 10 seconds and decided I spoke French. I think it depends on where you are.
