Hi Guys,

Just about to sit my IELTs at the weekend..

I'm hoping to get 8/9 (native speaker) in order to get the maximum points which would bring me to a total of 70 before submitting my EOI next month.

I was just wondering however, as I have an Irish passport, am I already considered a 'proficient' speaker (10 points) or do I NEED to sit the IELTs regardless...

If you want to claim points, you have to take a test
No automatic points

Have you considered PTE-A ?
Most members on the forum are of the opinion that PTE A is much easier to score as compared to IELTS

Cheers

too late for that!!

ive booked and paid my IELTs lol

Thanks for the reply though
If you don't manage, take the PTE-A next time. Writing is the only hurdle you might face, else you might get 8+ in other 3 sections. Good luck !
