How to get more points for Express Entry?

Hi All,

I've recently decided to apply for Canadian Express Entry.
I also have my WES qualification assessment done. However I got disappointed when I knew that they currently select people with much higher points, I believe 490 and above. I'm not sure if this is correct.
I've done the points assessment and I've got around 421 points.
what should I do to gain more points? getting a better IELTS score is not an option, 7.5 is my final score. And I definitely won't learn French.

what do you suggest?

The CRS is moving around but it's not as high as 490. Obviously you cannot get points that aren't there so you should submit your application with your 421 score. There is a chance you would receive a ITA.

Getting more score in ielts is the answer. 7.5 is your total band. Your points depend on how much you score in individual subjects. Based on this, your score can increase by 50 points. So ielts is the answer.
Another thing you can do is go for PNP nomination that will increase your points considerably.
Or you can try getting a job,or a relative who can sponsor you.
Your points are not low, and there aren't many comparatively who have scores as high as 490. So I personally southwest wait for two months and check average scores cut off. You might get an ITA with the current score itself.

As it's been noted already, it is NOT around 490. Last time, I checked, It was around 430. There is a page that shows the information for all draws so far.

Also, it's been noted above, the quickest way is to take another shot at IELTS. I got 8 overall the first time around and it was 8 the second time too. However, my score in writing improved from 6.5 to 7 and that made a difference of 45 points. So, play around with the CRS calculator tool. Change the score in various modules and see if anything helps your case.

You've mentioned PNP nomination, how can I move forward with that?

You have to watch out for announcements from provinces beginning to accept applications for PNP. Better be ready with all necessary documents before the streams are open because they close within few days.
