Just wondering if anyone knows how a Fiance Visa works,

1) With the fiance visa do I do all the paper work as sponsoring her from the UK and then send it to the UK Embassy in her country or does she do the paper work from over there
2) At what point or the best point if we work with yourself can we apply for the fiance visa?
3) For the UK fiance visa would we have to get married in the UK?
4) Can anyone recommend a good solicitors who has maybe dealt with this for themselves in the UK?

She is the applicant, you are the sponsor. She fills out the paperwork and submits it to the UK Embassy or Consulate in her country.

You need to make the question more clear.

A fiance visa is for those who wish to marry in the UK and then settle in the UK, so yes. It gives you 6 months to marry in the UK after which the non-UK spouse will apply for FLR-further leave to remain, basically a spouse visa.

If we apply for the fiance visa before the new changes to immigration law and her fiance visa is granted and the new changes come into place in regards to the sponsor earning a certain amount etc before we apply for the Fiance visa to be changed to the spouse visa, would we have to meet the new requirements when applying for the spouse visa? or would we still be under the same obligations as when we applied for the fiance visa?

You need to make the question more clear.
1) Can we apply for the fiance visa anytime we want? So long as of course we have met in person?

2) When she makes the application does she have to have all the documents all together ie photos, phone bills etc when she makes the application?

3) Is there a detailed list of all the things we need for the fiance visa? I mean a really well written, in detail list of supporting documents which go above and beyond what they even ask for anywhere?

4) She also wants to have a wedding in her country with her family who can not attend the official wedding in the UK. Would this affect her visa status if we went and had a wedding in her country after we married in the UK?
