Hi, we are Tracey and Paul, new to the site and would like to ask a question.

We are from the UK, have both retired early (mid 50's) so we are now able to do house and pet sitting full time. We have been doing this for three years now and love it, both independently and for an agency. We are CRB checked and have many references.

We are planning to travel to Europe next year and wondered if there was a need for house/pet sitters in France? We are very experienced with all animals and look after peoples property as if it were our own. We would travel between house sits in our motorhome so could do long or short sits (we are very flexible). We would charge a nominal amount (if anything), depending on the responsibilities and work.

We are fully booked this year doing house and pet sitting, so plan to travel over to France in April 2016. We are possibly going to travel all over Europe after this.

We would like to start to see if anyone would require this type of service. We have lots of information and our profile which we can send you. We would be very interested to receive your feedback.

Thank you
Tracey and Paul

First of all, if you read over the rules of the forum, you're not allowed to advertise your services here unless you take a Premium membership - and confine your adverts to the Classified sections of the forum.

Secondly, there isn't really a strong precedence for house/pet sitters here in France. Certainly not amongst the French. There might be some interest in the expat community. The French tend to take their pets with them on holiday (well, at least their dogs) or turn over care and feeding of their pets to a neighbor.

It's something of an "iffy" market here, but then again, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Perhaps some of the regulars here can suggest venues where you might advertise your services.
Cheers,
Bev

Thank you

Thank you for your reply. sorry, we just wondered if it was worth trying to see if it was something they did in France, as in the UK it has taken off in a big way.
Did not mean to advertise, just wanted to see if it was something that would be of interest or if people did it over there.
We have been many times on holiday to France and love it, so we will just come over in our motorhome and have a long holiday touring around.
Many thanks.
