Hey guys,

im new to this forum and just wanted to ask some quick questions and would appreciate any help.

I will be applying for a Skilled Independent Migrant Visa (Subclass 175) in August, however, I want to visit family and friends between November to January on a eVisitors visa (I have found a cheap flight and am eager to book it asap).

My questions are:
1 - is this allowed? am I able to hold an eVisitors Visa whilst the other is processing
2 - If my 175 visa is granted, will I have to return to the uk, then travel back, or can I stay in australia?

like I said, any help would be appreciated

thanks in advance!

Yes you can visit as a tourist but can not live in Australia on a tourist visa. If you want to go to Australia you must let your CO know because the 175 is an offshore visa and can not be granted whilt you are in Australia, if it is it invalidates it. You do not have to go all the way back to the UK but do need to leave Australia for your visa to be granted, wherever you can get a visa for.
