Help us please!!!Where to start

My hubby and I are an Irish couple wishing to relocate to Canada, tbh we did not think it would prove so difficult. Due to prior commitments here in Ireland we would be looking to make the move in Sept but I gather it will take this long anyway to make arrangements, sort visas etc..

So here is our prediciment..... I do not want to leave Ireland unless my husband an Electrician with 11 years experience has a job to go over to. He handed out cvs at the Dublin expo & also emailed a number of companies his resume over the last couple of weeks. So far no replies..... please advise us on what to do.... If anyone has any links, email addresses etc for electrical companie/ construction companies can you message me. Thanks a million I getting quite upset:mad:

Try kijiiji canada. Search under the province that you are interested in. Thats what we did almost two years ago now, and we are here now. Good luck. if you want it badly enough, it will happen. Get online and literally email every company you can find. I spent almost an entire year just emailing companies but it was worth it. Good Luck.:)

Linda thanks so much will try that site this evening. I guess I am quite frustrated by the lack of response, do companies usually take a while to respond? I suppose we were under the impression that there was thousands of jobs available... will keep emailing on his cv. Will try that site tonight. Can anyone else recommend any other websites/ construction companies?

Hi, if you have look at this forum there is a guy called Ian who is currently looking for people. Check that thread out. I would try kijiiji and canada jobs bank. Good luck. There are lots of jobs but you do have to apply to many before you will get a reply. The other thing is yes, some employers take a long time to get back to you, just when you thought you would hear nothing, you will get that email. Good luck.
