Hi, I need some advice regarding my mother's refusal of a visit visa. This is the second time after a refusal in 2006 after following bad advice.
I've copy the details of the refusal letter below.

Your application for a visit visa to the United Kingdom has been refused.
How your application was considered.
You have applied for a visa to visit the UK.
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for visitors…..link deleted…… I have considered
• Your application, and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
• Your immigration history
The decision.
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph (s) V4.2 and 4.3 Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:
You state you wish to visit the UK for 2 weeks to visit your relatives, and sightsee. You stated in your application and our records confirm that you were previously refused entry clearance as visitor in 2006. Although the aforementioned entry clearance refusal has been taken into consideration this application has been assesses based upon the information provided with your current application.
You stated that you are planning to spend £500.00 on this UK trip. In regards to current funds held by you. I acknowledge that you have provided a bank statement showing ending balance of (£258.90) on……date. I am not satisfied that you have demonstrated that you have sufficient funds available to cover your costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. Your application has therefore been refused under paragraph V4 2 (e).
You have also stated on your visa application that your son, who resides in the UK, will pay £2000.00 for your UK trip. As evidence of this you have provided your son’s Credit Union statement with and ending balance of £902.25 on……date. I am not satisfied that you have demonstrated that your son is capable of providing support to you for the intended duration of your stay. In view of the above your application has been refused under paragraph V4.3.
Future Applications. Any future UK visa application you make will be considered on their individual merits; however you are likely to be refused unless the circumstances of your application change.

1. My mother submitted the wrong bank statement in her application. The one she submitted was a statement from last year.
2. Regarding my statement, I submitted my current account bank statement that showed a balance of over £2000 in the account in the 6 months of bank statement I sent to her which she submitted including my Credit Union savings account statement. So I'm at lost as to how the ECO disregarded my Current account statement.

Can anyone offer me some advice on what to do next please? Thanks.

Re-apply with current bank statements showing sufficient money for the trip.

What citizenship does your mother hold?

Re-apply with current bank statements showing sufficient money for the trip. Hi thanks for replying. I forgot to mentioned that this was a year ago and I've been so upset and down that it took me so long to post this. My current account has now been hitting overdraft every month, but I still have my savings account with enough money to show that I can cover her trip and expenses. Will this be a problem?

What citizenship does your mother hold?
Jamaican, I'm British and my wife is American. Cheers.

Good morning all, I forgot to add that this decision was last year and because I was so down and disappointed I only got the strength to share it with you all now. My query now is that over the last few months, my current account and has been hitting my fee free overdraft. However, I still have sufficient funds showing in my Credit Union savings account to cover her trip for two weeks if I apply again. So do I submit the Current acount and Savings account statement or just the one showing the funds???

Not much point in presenting accounts which have little or no money in them.

Show accounts which have resources to pay for your mother's trip.
