Hi all!
According to the Directive of Free Movement inside EU one of the things you need to have is a Health Insurance. How is it in Cyprus, do this also apply to the Cypriots?

It seem to be different in some countries. Here in Germany all need to have insurance

Cypriots don't need to have health insurance as they are covered by their social insurance for treatment at the state hospitals. However most prefer to have insurance and use the private hospitals if they can afford it as the state hospitals are not great.
EU citizens who have state retirement pensions also do not need health insurance
as they are entitled to free treatment at the state hospitals.
