I will be getting married in the Philippines and want to have my wife join me here in Perth. I have got the relevant forms from the Dept of Immigration and Citizenship form 47SP.

Are there any other things that I need to beware of other than what is in the forms?

is it also true that a Form 40 Sponsorship for Migration to Australia is no longer a requirement????

Have you looked at the spouse visa booklet? Yes you are sponsoring your wife and need to fill in several forms as well as proving your relationship beyond the marriage certificate.
