Hi All
My name is Alissa and I am moving to Perth in February on a defacto visa. I will be 28 weeks pregnant when I arrive. I know I will be entitled to medicare when I get to Oz. Can anyone advise me if I need to book into a hospital before I get there.

Can anyone recommend a public maternity hospital in Perth.

Thanks
Alissa

Hi there,

Congratulations on your pregnancy and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry I'm not going to be of much help as I live across the other side of the country in Victoria.

Hopefully someone on here will be able to give you some hospital recommendations.

I guess what you will need to do is go and see a doctor when you arrive and then you'll be 'in the system' as it were.

I've found a few links that, for now, may be of some help.
