Handyman

Having finally bit the bullet and rented a place I've realised I could do with a handyman to fit some stuff.

I know IKEA do assembly but I've got to fit a ceiling light and get some curtains up. My DIY skills are basically 0 so hoping to get some recommendations for handymen type people who can go to my apartment while I'm at work and do some bits and bobs?

Mr Ravi - I'll PM you his number. He did all the handyman stuff when we lived on the Palm.

Plumbing, curtains, laid a floor, to name a few things.

I need his number too please ..Thanks in advance
In addition to general handyman, does anyone have specific recommendations for a plumber (for redoing the landscaping irrigation pipes), or a carpenter (to replace a shed roof, and to sand/fill/stain a wooden front door)? ....an individual rather than the bigger companies that are so expensive. Thank you!
