Hi guys,

I am currently working and residing in the US on a working visa, H1B. I need to be in the AUS before March 2018 for my PR validation and return back to US after that.

My H1B is valid until 2020, but I need to get my passport stamped before I can return to the US. I am planning to make an appointment in Sydney US Consulate. Please note, this is my second term on H1B (extension).

I am familiar with setting up the appointment and all as I have done the same when I got visa stamped in my home country.

I read few posts on here about similar cases but those were few years old. I am gonna reach out to consulate to get more info but wanted to see if anyone has any recent experiences for getting their H1B stamping in Sydney (or in Australia)? Also, any suggestions/tips are more than welcome!

I did my stamping in Melbourne in February, 2019.. No issues.. Officer asked me when did I started living in Australia and I told him that I just did my first PR landing 2 days back, and he was ok with it.
