i am just looking for some info that i cant seem to find anywhere online!
basically i came over to Australia sponsored a year ago - so straight on a 457 visa.
However i hate my job and really want to quit, but because i have holidays booked to go home for the whole month of December, i cant really be looking for a new job until the new year, and i cant face working in my current job for that long more (plus still factoring in 4 wks notice as well!!)
so i am thinking about quitting here, going home in Dec and applying for my first year 417 visa and coming back out for one more year.
But i cant find anything online about doing it this way - its all goign from 417 To 457. i was just wondering if people knew anything about this, whether there are any constraints for me to do this, or if it might be the sort of thing that could get flagged and then i wouldnt be able to come back out in January?
