Hi all,
I was on the phone yesterday for what seemed like forever, trying to get a straight answer from Home Office as to see whether am able to marry in the UK on my Youth Mobility visa. My partner and I have been together for nearly 2 years, pretty much the length of my YM. We want to get married in the Uk (Scotland) before my visa expires. I need to know;
A: If they will allow me to marry my Scotsman here in the uk? Or do they have the ability to say no?
B: Do I have to go home to apply for a spousal visa?
We are easily able to provide evidence from the last 1.8 years and as he is in the RAF we are skipping the fiancé visa so we can live together on base here in the UK.
If anyone has any information to help us, we would greatly appreciate it!
