Took Mrs Confiture's car into the main dealer as the a/c has started to be a bit weak recently and they diagnosed that a complete overhaul of the system was needed - new compressor, various pulleys and belts etc. etc. costing 3,500Dhs (car out of warranty). What's more, having chosen not to proceed immediately with the work, the car was given back to us which the a/c hardly working at all, a shrug of the shoulders and a "needs doing quickly sir" comment.

Took the car to a well known independent place 2 days later and within 4 hours of dropping it off, a small leak in the system had been identified, some kind of seal replaced, the system topped up and it's ready for collection.

Cost?

400Dhs.

Mrs Confiture has a nice cool (at least inside) car to drive and the main dealer can say goodbye to any future business.
