Hello!

I have been invited for 189. My wife has studied at a private English medium school in 90s for most part of her secondary and primary education but for some reason she couldnt complete her studies and does not have any SSC certificate though she has appreciation certificates of that school's events in which she took part. I have come to know that the school in which she studied got closed about 4 to 5 years ago. How should I proceed with this now? Is IELTS the only solution left?

Any help would be appreciated.

An IELTS test with a 4.5 points average is one way to prove that she has functional English. If she attended an primary/secondary school where classes were taught in English, that should be a piece of cake for her :).

There are a couple of other options listed under How can I prove I have functional English?, such as passing alternative language tests, tertiary education in English or having a passport from certain countries.

Good luck,
Monika
