Hi guys,

I am thinking about spending a couple of days in Fujairah and apart from sightseeing and museums I would like to go to the beach. Any hotel/beach recommendations?
I read news regarding oil spills in May but no updates so far. How is the situation now?

Thanks for any suggestions :)

Cheers

We stayed at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort a few weeks ago and the beach was lovely, although they did have oil cleaning materials if you needed them as you came of the beach but didnt seem to be used. Nice enough hotel if you get a good deal on the room rate. You can also get some reasonable half board or inclusive packages.

Cheers

Yes it would be for the Eid holidays :)
The main concern is regarding the cleanliness of the water.

I have been to Rotana and liked it. But I liked the Radisson Blu bit more. Up the coast in Dibba Fujairah. Their prices were high, but yesterday they reduced it a bit. So you might still find a last minute deal!
