We applied for permanent residence via the federal skilled worker route 5 months ago based on partners job of an electrician. Not had medicals etc yet.

However we are currently in Calgary, and my partner had an interview for an electrician role. They offered him the job and we are now applying via temp foreign worker route, and should be here within 3 months.

My questions are can we still continue with the permanent residence route even if in canada or will going Temp foreign worker affect this? Can we do the medicals etc in Canada if requested? Do I apply for open work permit? Obviously when we get home I will contact CIC to discuss but thought i would ask here and see if anyone has been in the same position.

Thanks
