Hello,
My wife demanded French nationality by naturalization in Préfecture du Val d'Oise Cergy (95) almost 1 year ago in February 2015. She is living in France for 16 years and have two children who are already French because their father is French.
Today after one year we got a letter by Prefecture in which they asked her to send them few documents (Job Contract, 3 last Payslips, Avis d’impôt, Attestation de CAF, Bordereau fiscale p237 etc.) Is this a good sign? Is her application is close to a favourable decision?
Problem is that when she submitted her dossier in préfecture she was working on CDD but she got pregnant and her employer did not renew her contract because of the birth of baby, nowadays she is on maternity leaves which are going to finish at the end of this month. Now we think that if she declares them that she lost her job they will definitely refuse her application of naturalization. What should we do?
and the letter which they sent us is from prefecture while it is already 1 year passed and our file should be in REZE and we should be getting letter from REZE instead of prefecture. this thing confusing us.
If anyone of you is going through same situation or have any knowledge about this please help me.
Thanks in advance :)

Basically, you need to send them the documents they are asking for, along with a note explaining those you can't provide. If she is receiving salary or benefits for her maternity leave, send whatever documentation she receives for that in lieu of the payslips. It isn't unheard of for the administration to keep coming back for "just a few more" documents.
Cheers,
Bev
