Hello, am wondering if anyone is in similar situation or can offer any advice.

I came to the UK on student visa in 2005 and since then have transited through the Tier 4 student visa and subsequently got married in 2012 and got my first spousal visa on FLR(M) route. My spousal visa expires on 27 May so am in the process of sending off application for second 2.5years visa. In September I would have been in the country for 10 years and technically can apply for ILR on Long Residence route. (Shame just missed by a few months!) However I stumbled upon another forum where someone said once you are on spousal visa, your previous years are voided and not counted towards the 10 years for long residence! Is this true? All these years suddenly become nothing just because I became someone's wife?!?

Also, does anyone know the difference between FLR(M) and FLR(FP)? In my circumstance, are there other visa options I can pursue? - bottomline is I just want to get settlement ILR ASAP with the least hassle.

Thanks everybody!
