Hello everybody. Im searching for an advice. Im going to apply for the spouse visa extension for another 2.5 years. Im working with an agency full time. My husband has been employed with the same employer for the period of 9 months. But unfourtunately, he lost his job. He wants to go self employed now. He is going to show money from self employement going into the bank account. Is that going to be acceptable for the visa application. Im going to show my payslips aswell. Has anyone had a situation like that? I will be grateful if you can advise something.

You have to show self employed financial records for at least a full financial year.

Unless your husband can show this and that he has earned 18,600 GBP for that year, your application will fail.

If that isn't possible, your option therefore is to do overtime or get another job so that you meet the requirement alone, or he gets a job that pays him enough when combined with yours, at least 6 months before you apply.
