Hi all,

I'm somewhat freaking out right now over the financial requirement. My partner and I thought we would meet it for when we make out application (about 6.5 months time) given that he earns a salary of £20 000 pa, but we just found out that he is paid every four weeks. This means that he is paid £384.6 per week and £1538 in a month. If we rely on CAT A, his annual salary will only be calculated at £18 456... this hardly seems fair as he is paid 13 times per year rather than 12/monthly.

Would the letter from his employer that we include in our application stating that he is paid every 4 weeks but actually earns £20 000 pa suffice? I would be absolutely heartbroken if we get denied just because of HOW he is paid when he actually earns more than the yearly minimum required.

Is there any way around this? Should we be applying under another category? I'm in a panic right now...
