Can anyone recommend a good product for washing floors? All the ones I've tried (the latest being Monoprix' Nettoyant pour Sols) leave the floors feeling very slightly sticky.

What sort of floors? There are different products for wood, tile and linoleum floors. Or you could use a multi-purpose cleaning product - one that says you don't have to rinse. Just don't use too much.

Tile, and "wood" (ie plastic!) veneers. Actually, you probably hit the nail on the head wrt not using too much - one splash good, two splashes better isn't always true!

It seems that alot of that stuff is actually meant to be used with a cap full in a half a bucket of water. Splashing it directly on the floor might be what's causing the stickiness when it dries.
