I am wondering if an IVA by me will affect a future fiance visa application?
My background in short, my soon to be ex-husband declared himself bankrupt last October leaving £25k worth of debt at my door.
My current partner is a U.S citizen and we intend on applying for a fiancee visa for him later this summer, probably in July/August.
I have been told I qualify for an IVA, which will help my finances dramatically, especially with 2 teenage children, however, I don't want to put the fiancee visa at risk in any way by jumping in feet first.
Does anyone know if an IVA will affect this visa? I don't claim any state benefits and work full time, we estimate he will have around £3000 in savings for when he comes over.
Thanks in advance.
Jo
