Hi

I got EOI invite to apply for visa under 189 visa type.
While filling the form , I encountered below question :-

Has any applicant ever overstayed a visa in any country (including Australia)?

I am applying my Wife application along with me and my wife has overstayed in Dubai on Tourist Visa for one day by mistake and Immigration office there in Dubai charged her fine and made a new Exit pass to come out of the immigration and security check.
My question is should i mention it , if i answer it as yes , its asking me for a reason and if i answer it no, it will not ask any other information.

Pls Suggest .

You'll have to mention it. Otherwise, if DIBP find out about that on their own they'll reject your application on the grounds of providing false information.
Just write down the reason why it happened and it'll be okay.

If I were you, I would definately mention it. I think being transparent in such areas only builds your credibility.
