Hi all,

Me and my girlfriend are looking to emigrate to Canada in a year or so, we're just at the planning stages at the mo!

Few questions....

Is it possible to go on a year long working visa, and get sponsered by an employer once I have a stable job?

And also I work as a pipefitter/heating engineer but my girlfriend doesn't work as anything on the list, do we need to be married in order to gain a visa?

Thanks

If you are under 32 you can apply for a BUNAC one-year working visa and yes, if during that time an employer will "sponsor" you through a LMO you could get a TWP for two years.

No you do not need to be married.

Thanks
Good Luck.
