Sure they can. I dont know if UK passports for kids include parents names. Otherwise if they dont, then you need the affidavid from the other parent if its not the case that both parents are travelling with the child.

Can my 8 year old child (who is both British and South African) exit SA on their UK passport? I saw that the rule states that South Africans must exit on South African passports, does this apply to minors as well. ~My child does not have her South African passport yet.
