Hi Guys/Admin,
I have submitted my EOI with 65 points to Victoria state for obtaining State Nomination under 190.

As per Victoria website, "an applicant with PhD can get invitation within 2-weeks" however it took more than a month.

Kindly share your views should "I need to click for all states or just a single state"

I did PhD in Agriculture (Crop Science)
Experience of 7.1 years has already been successfully assessed by VETASSESS though I have more than 13 years but i just claimed the last 8.1 years of two jobs 1. Agriculture Officer & Assistant Professor Teaching/Research of University. Other jobs are working in Private sector for Crop Husbandry & Plant Breeding.

Applied To Agricultural Scientist

I opted for Victoria due to their claim of providing state nomination within 2 weeks, though I am interested in NSW

Sir,

You even don't need state nomination. Apply in 189 category. You score enough points to be chosen. Further mostly websites are not updated accordingly. Just select 189 in skill select and cross your fingers.

Good Luck to you.

P.S By the way your user name Shab-e-Qadar is great. It is very high. If it is your name the success always follows you.

Dear sir,

You can do both with different email accounts. You need to make two different EOI accounts with two different emails. It is also mentioned in the state nomination's website.

Have you calculated your points.

If you score 60 why you bind yourself with state nomination. Then you have to remain two years in the same state. Since you are Ph.D in agri. There might be various opportunities in different parts of the Australia. My suggestion is go for 189. So you move freely.

My claimed score that i can get from EOI is

Age: 25
Education: 20
Experience: 15 [if i count it by myself] according to VETASSESS they count only 7.1 years of my experience..................

So in that case my experience score: 10

I was not sure that the Assessment Agency can deduct some of the experience during Assessment. Though i am in service after my B.Sc (hons) however for Assessment I did not claim all of my experience which is more than 12 years.

Now my question is should I wait till November bcoz in November it will reach to 8.1 years

or should I submit two different EOI for 189 and for 190??

Your age is not correct.

How did you complete Ph.D and have 12 years experience at the age 0f 25. It means you started working as a professional at 13!

You are complicating your case by yourself. Keep it simple. You better consult some consultant.

You have not calculated IELTS score. You should take IELTS exam and count it's score.

Oh Sorry. I mistaken your Age. You mentioned you are claiming 25 for your age.

Yes Here is my Score

Profession: Agricultural Scientist 234112

For Age: 25 points

For Employment: As per VETASSESS as they counted 7.1 years in January 2015 out of my claimed experience of 8.2 years (From 11/2006 to 1/2015). Mentioned earlier i didn't include all of previous jobs as I was sure that the agency will consider my 8 years but i was wrong.

For Education: 20 points (Including PhD but Excluding Post Doctorate of 4 months as Australian Endeavour Recipient)

IELTS: 6.5 [L 6.0, R 7.0, W 6.5, S 6.5] 30/05/2015

With these Points when i am filling the EOI form I claimed for 65 points (including 5 points from state).

Now These questions need clarifications

1. Should I include Post-Doctorate of 4-months

2. Should i Put all my previous jobs which basically starts from 03/2002 if yes what should be the answer for "Is this employment related to the nominated occupation?" Yes or No

3. Should I wait till November 2015 for applying to 189 as per the Assessment outcome? or go for 190.

4. Should i exclude the job duration from 11/2006 to 11/2007 which was considered as "The following claims of skilled employment made by the applicant have been assessed as not at an appropriate skill level and not closely related to the nominated occupation of Agricultural Scientist (ANZSCO Code: 234112)
From 11/2006 to 11/2007, Agriculture Officer / Subject Matter Specialist, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
as:
the employment was used to calculate the qualifying period required to meet the skill level of the nominated or closely related ANZSCO occupation (Employment 1)"

5. If i have to go for 190 so is it wise to opt a specific state or better to chose all?

I am pretty sure that this forum is wise and helpful than any consultant

You are too conscious. You just apply for 189 with 60 pts. You will get visa. There are few people who apply in your category. Second if you apply in 190 then you have to stay in that particular state for 2.5 years. So what would you do if you dont get job of your interest in that state.

Even if you are still want 190 then you should do some homework. For instance which state has more jobs for your profession. You can use seek.com. and even visit states' websites.

But I am sure that you will get 189 visa without any doubt. So just chill.

It takes 3 to 4 months from EOI submission to visa grant. I just guessed from the posts of different people in the forum.
Ram Jaane,

Thanks for the feedback

"What should I do with my submitted EOI, Should I Update? Withdraw or Suspend my EOI for 190?"
