Dear folks,
I am going to apply settlement visa for my wife she has completed two years on spouse visa. According to new rule she has to have English language qualification at B1 level along with life in UK test. But when she was granted spouse visa two years ago she had done IELTS with 5.5 (above B1 level) and I was reading on home office website that if someone demonstrated a knowledge of English equivalent to B1 level when applying for entry clearance will not be required to take a further test in order to qualify settlement.
If the above statement is true then she doesn't have to take English test again ? but there is another problem that IELTS certificate she has , is only valid for two years and it has expired now. My question is does she have to take the English test again?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks.
