Hello

I have noticed multiple threads where DIAC asks for documentation to verify the employment. I am plannign to launch a DIAC application before July 1,2012.

I worked for a company for about 5 years of which the first I year I was paid in checks. For the rest of the 4 years, I do have all the paystubs, but for the one year which I was paid in checks, I do not have the copies of taxes filed in that year (2006) as well. I do have the relieving letter issued in 2011 and offer letter dated 5 years back from the company. Now, because I do not have the copies of checks for the 1st one year, or tax return copies as well, what will be the probable outcome from DIAC in case they ask those details. Because I don't have those docs with me now, will that 1 year be excluded from the experience they count or will they just deny the application? Anyone faced this situation before and came out thru it?

Thanks!

I do not have a copy of the taxes filed that year, I lost them somewhere. Will it be a problem because I dont have them with me?

Really cannot say, but im sure it is possible for a decent accountancy firm to dig up these details from your bank account statements from that period, should be a fairly simple process. Since all cheques in and outs would have a time stamp on the, consult a tax advisor

Hi
I have work experience reference letters for 4 years and 9 months in IT. I have a positive skills assessment as well.
I worked for a company for one year in addition to the above mentioned period. I worked in the period of June 2002 - June 2003 for which I do not have any documentary evidence either in the form of Tax Returns / Pay Slips/ cheques etc. I have a scanned copy of a letter written in the month of May 2003 where my Manager has requested the client to support me in work. In addition, there has been a takeover of the management of the company. I tried to get in touch with the HR of the company a few days back to organize a reference letter but they are not able to find out my details. Hence, the company would not issue me a reference letter.
In view of this will DIAC accept my experience of 5+ years or just 4 years 9 months. In case, DIAC does not accept my experience for that additional 1 year, I do not stand a chance to get PR of Australia ( as I do not meet the threshold points).
Please can the forum share there views on this situation. How do I handle this.

job verification

hi everyone,
my agent says that if assessment body
didnt do job verification before
providing me the result(positive in my
case),than there are much more
chances that DIAC will go for in depth
job verification...
not worried about it,but will have to
explain my boss about it,and he will
not be much happy to lose potential
employee like me....

DIAC and the skills assessing bodies have nothing to do with each other. Some skills assessments verify work experience others not even different for each application.

DIAC will always to employment verification via a variety of methods including checking tax records, detailed references, telephone calls and visits.
