Hi, I'm an Italian citizen and my partner is a non EEA national.
On March we have got an EEA FP visa for unmarried partner valid till the beginning of September (it was issued in 8 business days) and on July we applied for a UK Residence Permit, hopefully it'll be ready at the beginning of next year.

To be able to travel while the RC is not issued and the visa expired, we applied for a second EEA FP visa on the 22nd of August. Considering that this visa should be issued on a priority base, or at least as our first visa (8 business days), we believed to have it in about 2 weeks.
The 1st of September we received an email from the UK Visa Office in Sheffield ([email protected]) saying that the application will be handled by them, unlike our first visa. I called the UKVI call center to have more information about the daly, but it was useless.

We submitted the application three weeks ago and we have to come back to London to work, but my partner's visa is not ready and the UK Visa Office in Rome is keeping her passport.
What can we do to speed up the application and to get a response asap?
