My wife has Dual citizen British/Irish.
We currently reside in UK. She has stayed all her life in Britain. Currently she is on Jobs Seeker Allowance.
I have been told that I cannot apply for resident card for myself since my Wife has never exercised treaty rights to free movement.(What I understand is that she never worked or lived in Ireland)

Me and my wife after thinking all the possibilities, we have decided to give up the British citizen for my wife and then apply for my resident card becoz we cant take the separation now.

My question are
1) is it possible for me get the resident card if we give up the British citizen.
2) my visa expires on 26 Aug 2015 and what if the declaration of Renunciation doesn't arrive by then?
3) Does my wife required registration certificate?

Please Help me
Thanks
