Hi! I am new to this forum and have gone over pages and pages of it. Very helpful really.

I have a question. My fiance and I (Spanish) are planning to get married and move to the UK. We are marrying in her country (out of the EEA area), and we are not sure whether marrying outside the EEA may impede/harm our chances when applying to, say, her EEA FP or her residence card. Our second option, of course, is to get married here in Spain, but this process, as far as we have learned, may take longer. Additional feedback on this will be hugely appreciated.

Some additional info

In case you are wondering... we've been together for 6 and a half years, and we have been living together, sharing bank accounts, and registered as 'unmarried partners' here in Spain for one year already.

I have an employment contract in London that starts by the end of this year (October).

It shouldn't make any difference, unless there is some doubt over the validity of your marriage under UK law, such as polygamy, under age or consanguinity.
