We are on the verge of taking a posting in Brisbane and would be taking our 13 year old twins.
We are concerned that by the time we return to the UK they would be nearing the GCSE examinations taken at the age of 16 and whether they would have studied a similar curriculum in Australia or indeed if there are schools which follow UK curriculum for expat families. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Hi Simon,

I don't have kids but I know that there isn't a nationwide curriculum here in Australia and it does vary between areas and states. You would probably have to ask this question of the schools in Brisbane that you would send your twins to.

Hi Simon,

Welcome to the forum.

As far as I'm aware no schools here follow the UK school curriculum.

How old will your twins be when you move back to the UK?
