Dubai employement visa

Hello everyone,
I will be moving to Dubai by the end of May to work for a multinational company... I have already received my employment visa. I heard that until your residence and work permit is issued you are not allowed to leave the country without the permission of your sponsor. Is this true? Would this be valid once you have your permanent permits to live and work in the country? I am considering to do a lot of travelling in the region and would like to go home for some weekends. So I would really appreciate if you could help.

You are free to travel anytime after getting your visa.

You don't need permission. Unless you agreed in some terms with your company or manager before taking employment.

You are thinking of Saudi visa where you have to take permission each time you travel.
