Hello expats,

I submitted a 176 application at the beginning of this November and on November 25th I was assigned a CO :YaY:

Anyways, I have some doubts and fears about the whole process. For instance, my CO asked me to submit my PCC and medicals. My CO said my PCC are fine for the time being, and my medicals are further referred. Now to my concern, after finalizing my medicals and PCC should I presume everything is OK? if there was any problem with my documents, wouldn't have they told me before requesting medicals and PCC?

Another thing, I submitted my certificates of experience from all employers, the same submitted to ACS, should I have submitted my work contracts? if something is missing would my CO ask for the missing docs or they will make a decision and reject my application?

Thanks in advance people :ranger:

A CO within 1 month of application for a 176! Sounds awesome to me, almost unreal!
Anyway, I think the CO will ask for documents if needed. They don't just reject an application just like that. They do that if they haven't got the satisfactory documents even AFTER asking for them.

All the best!

Hey,
Congrates!! Do you how hard it was (and still is) for most of us to reach to that level? Sure not, 'cause i assume you should start partying around instead of worrying....
Relax, just seat back. I must say you are surely won a jackpot with getting a CO within a month. The rest steps will come easier and in a defined way and you can have very little to worry about. Usually they don't take more than a month or so while going from 'CO assigned' to 'case finalized' state.... After I submitted my med and PCC (emailed), it took them 4 looooong days to issue the letter!!!!
Cheer up buddy....

Hi mmq83,

Congrats man ....
Can you please post ur details about all ur activities, i mean how much time have been taken in each process, like;
ACS: start & letter in hand dates
VIC SS: start & end dates
DIAC: Start & end dates

I have ACS approval and now applied for VIC SS few days before. Just wanted to get an idea of time lines.
One more thing, about how much assets should be shown? Will they take proof of assets, like I wrote Jewelery (how can i prove it?), cash (OK), Car (ok).

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hello Carol E,

First of all, sorry for taking some time to answer. Secondly, I'm state sponsored.

Now, I'm really happy to inform you people that I received an e-mail with the words "Grant Notification" in its title :D and three PDFs attached one of them named "Visa grant notice", can you make a guess what's this e-mail? :p

I'm the happiest man on earth now

:focus: , now what should I do? how do I get my Visa stamped and how long does it take?

Thanks people for all help provided on this forum

Hello Tauqir,

Here are the dates :)

Mid August 2009: Applied to ACS (J2EE Specialist -- NEC) (MODL) :'(
November 2009 : ACS result letter received with MODL
February 2010: MODL/CSL revoked :(
April 2010: Applied for VIC SS
May 2010: First IELTS attempt. Not all components 7.0 ( to compensate MODL points)
July 2010: Second IELTS attempt. All components 7.0 and above :D
November 2010: VIC SS granted
November 3rd, 2010: DIAC online 176 application submitted
November 25th: PCC & medicals requested.
November 25th: Medicals referred. (Medicals were submitted before being asked for)
November 29th: PCC submitted
December 2nd: Medicals finalized
December 3rd, 2010: Visa grant notification :D
Stamping: ASAP :D

Note: Although got the Visa grant notification. All my documents are still marked with Required ???? Any thoughts on this??????

For the VIC SS cash/money -- I mentioned 20K for the primary applicant. I'm still single.
VIC state didn't ask for proofs but it's preferred to submit as much proofs as you can to make your application in a good shape.

Best wishes man in your immigration journey

C, told ya, after CO your days were counted....
Just visit your nearest Australian Consulate/high commission/embassy to get your visa stamped. Bring along with your passport and Visa grant letter.
Shouldn't take more then an hour....
