The association ADADA runs a donkey sanctuary as part of their remit. There is certainly no money to be "made" in the process. They generally are working on fund raising to feed and manage the animals. And they'll be happy to have you book in for a week of helping run the place on a volunteer basis. (Full disclosure here: I'm a dues paying member of ADADA.)
Cheers,
Bev
Just don't share the bread with the donkeys. It's too rich for them and can lead to them getting forbure/laminitis. OTOH, bread is great for giving donkeys pills in - in my case, as long as there is a big dab of peanut butter covering the pill!
Cheers,
Bev
I am firmly of the opinion that there are many donkeys and particularly assess here in the forum. Some of them are well disguised......but they are here.
In the principle of my own self preservation I'm not naming names.
Never thought I'd see it.....Organ Morgan on wheels
