Anyone have experience flying with a dog on Volaris domestic flight? Thanks!

No experience with pets on Volaris, but be cautious and use Aeromexico or any of the US carriers. The employees are poorly trained and I would never put a pet on their planes. I had a horrible experience returning from Huatulco back to the US last summer. All my reservations were in order and only had trouble in Huatulco. The counter person said my reservation was not valid since it was through a third party. Most all tickets are through third party sellers these days. It was surreal and no one to talk to except the counter person. No supervisors or anyone around to talk to. I had to buy another ticket from Aeromexico to get to my connecting Volaris flight in CDMX. I do not know if they double sold the ticket, put a friend on in my seat or what. A horrible, stressful, and expensive experience. I was just lucky Aeromexico had a seat or I would have missed all my connecting flights getting back home. Use Aeromexico or the US carriers.

volaris is a discount airline with poor service and low price. I fly Volaris a lot nationally and I have to say that except for the lack of service I never had a serious problem with them but then I only fly direct flights.no connecting flights as they are known to cancel flights and be late.

I flew with three cats on Volaris because Aeromexico wouldn’t take three; Volaris had no problem with it. Everything went smoothly, although be forewarned, at the destination, an employee won’t bring the pet carrier out to you; they just put it on the baggage carousel.

I flew with a dog we adopted on the street in Mexico to US. Volaris was the only airline that allowed me to travel with her. I had to have all the paperwork, including the vaccinations and a letter from her vet. The crate must be a certain size. Try to find a direct flight so that it isn't too long. We flew directly to Ontario, California, in the evening (so it was cooler). Her carte was there when we got off the plane. From there, we rented a car and drove to Portland, OR. Find a way to minimize flight changes. If you must, take a day between flights. Good luck!
