Does the main applicant on 176 visa have to enter Australia before partner and child?

Hi all
I am the main applicant on a 176 visa. We are hoping to move with our child in June. I was hoping my partner would go over for 4 weeks before myself and our daughter and he could find us a house, car and so on, as I can’t imagine landing with a 3 year old and not having somewhere to live.

As I am the main applicant does that mean I have to enter Australia before them? Or can my partner go over along for the first few weeks?

Any information would be great.

:confused2:

The main applicant has to enter first. It happened with me also. So I asked the Australian embassy Customer service while I was in USA. They said the main applicant has to enter first and the second applicant or both at the same time.
The second applicant cannot enter first.
Ask the Australian embassy people here, to get more clarifications. They are really helpful and gives information.
