Hi,

My partner and I are planning to move to the UK on August 2015. He is eligible for the UK ancestry visa. We have been together for 6 years, and have been living together for almost 2 years. In about a week and a half it will have been 2 years, which is when I intend to apply for my visa. These are the documents which I plan to provide, and I'd like your opinion on whether or not I am missing something or maybe if I have provided too much???


GENERAL

Introductory letter (which includes background of our past history, our future in London, and a brief decription of my evidence I'm providing, I plan to include my savings in here too)
Letter of invitation from my unmarried partner
Travel Itenirary

PROOF OF IDENTITY

Completed and signed online visa application
Biometrics appointment
2 x Passport photos
Previous passports & current passport
Criminal History Check
CV
Current income payslip
Proof of job applications

PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP

Tenancy agreements
A. 19th May 2013- 06June 2013
B. June 2013 - January 2014
C. January 2014 -June 2015

Joint account
A. 1st Bank Account Statement
B. Current Bank Account Statement

Shared bills
A. Joint bank account statement
B. Broadband Bill (For our first house)
C. Letter from Energy company showing evidence of account with company since May 2013
D. Broadband Bill (For our second house)
E. Contents Insurance (with address of our second house)

Various other letters sent to our home address
A. Transport Agency
B. Mobile phone connection

Travel itineraries
A. 2012: Downtown Flight Centre - Europe trip
B. 2013: Australia Sydney Tickets

Photos over 6 year period (dates written on the back)

Anniversary & birthday cards from my unmarried partner to me
A. 2 month anniversary
B. 4th year anniversary
C. 5th year anniversary
D. 22nd birthday card
E. 25th birthday card

Wedding invitations to both of us
A. 2011: Wedding invitation
B. 2013: Wedding invitation
C. 2015: Wedding Invitation

Take out greetings cards and wedding invitations. You have enough evidence. Just tenancy agreements, utility bills and joint bank statement are sufficient.
Photos no more than 10-15 in all.
Criminal check and CV not needed.
If possible, apply for ancestry and dependant visas at the same time.

Unfortunately, we wont be applying at the same time, but we are cross referencing each other in our applications.

Hi Joppa,

Just another quick question, do you know if I need a birth certificate? I don't have one, and to get one it would be very difficult, as I don't live in the country that I was originally born in, and would have no idea on how to get one.

No your passport is sufficient.
